Adventures in Quzhou | Root Palace Buddhist Kingdom, exploring the charm of intangible cultural heritage

| Gengong Buddhist Kingdom, explore the charm of intangible cultural heritage.

Look to China for the world’s root carvings, look to China for its enlightenment. The intangible cultural heritage has been precipitated over a long period of time and remains fresh, bearing witness to the profoundness of Chinese civilization.

In this busy city, I often long for a peaceful pure land. The Gengong Buddhist Kingdom in Quzhou is like a dreamy Buddhist wonderland, which fascinates me.

🌼Walking into the Gengong Buddhist Kingdom Scenic Area, it feels like traveling through time and space and being in a root carving hall. Here, Buddhist culture is displayed in a colorful way. Many sacred images such as Sakyamuni, the Future Buddha, the Four Bodhisattvas, the Four Heavenly Kings, and the Five Hundred Arhats are brought to life in the form of root carvings, exuding an ancient and mysterious atmosphere.

🔸The treasure of the museum, the 9.9-meter-high Sakyamuni Buddha weighing more than 40 tons, looks like a sleeping Buddha, revealing a trace of compassion in its solemnity.

🔸In the entire scenic area, bonsai, strange stones, root art, and ancient garden buildings complement each other. Every step is a unique painting, making people feel as if they are in a fairyland.
