My favorite hotels in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai.

Jiangnan is a treasure trove of travel destinations, always full of unexpected beauty and surprises.

It is different from the vastness of Xinjiang, the magnificence of Yunnan, the homogenized beaches, or the uniqueness of the Changbai volcano.

But this land has been endowed with the charm of literati and scholars for thousands of years, and the elegance of walking between mountains and rivers. Everyone who has been to Jiangnan has an unspeakable praise for this paradise on earth.

It is hard to say exactly what is good about Jiangnan, but it is just so likable. It may be the gentleness of Jiangnan people nurtured by the drizzle, or the romance brought by the hot tea.

Growing up in the north, I have always yearned for the romance of Jiangnan, so I have always loved discovering the beauty of this place.

This time, I discovered the FanJie XingSu Gaotian Resort in Kaihua County, Quzhou, Zhejiang. It is a resort built from an ancient village with a thousand-year history. I stayed at the Jinshang Yunsu XingSu Gaotian Hotel in the resort. To preserve the original flavor, each room is transformed from an old house in the ancient village.

I stayed here for two days, and the facilities in the resort are very complete, including restaurants, cafes, bookstores, photo studios, handicraft workshops, etc. As it is a stargazing sanctuary, there is also a planetarium on the top of the mountain. It is so pleasant for a family or a few friends to come here and relax for two days.

The resort is located at the junction of Zhejiang, Anhui, and Jiangxi provinces, and is close to Shangrao, Wuyuan, Jingdezhen, and Huangshan, so you can visit them all in one trip. Before driving here, you will also pass by the "Potala Palace of Jiangnan" Taihui Mountain, which is also a great place to see the high mountain terraces and rapeseed flowers in spring. The scenery in this area is truly unique.
