Kaihua Travel Guide for the May Day Holiday | A Hidden Gem

So far this year, this has been the most low-key hidden gem I've visited. I'm actually afraid it'll become too popular ❗️
Zhejiang is truly a great place, with its mountains, rivers, cities, forests, and vibrant autumn colors. I recently discovered a hidden gem that's very low-key, and not many people know about it. I want to recommend it to you 10,000 times over.

It's the Kaihua Root Palace Buddhist Kingdom, a national 5A tourist attraction that has been featured in the Guinness Book of World Records and is also the world's largest root carving museum.

📍 Recommended spots to visit
1️⃣ Wofo Happy: Various happy Buddha statues with vivid expressions that seem to laugh away all the troubles of the world
2️⃣ Arhat Corridor: 500 Arhats with solemn and lifelike expressions that are very impressive
3️⃣ Root Palace Pagoda: With 13 floors, it's surrounded by clouds and mist in the early morning, making it look like a fairyland. There are many root carving works by art masters on the first floor of the underground palace.
4️⃣ Drunken Scenery Garden: It's like stepping into an elegant Jiangnan garden with more than 2,000 kinds of bonsai, each branch and leaf full of charm.
5️⃣ Children's Fun Garden: Root carving works of animal shapes that make you feel like you've stepped into a wonderful anime world

🍂 Enjoy the autumn colors
In the scenic area, you'll find golden ginkgo trees, red maple leaves 🍁, and dawn redwood trees, combined with ancient Han and Tang style architecture, making it a great place for taking photos.
There are shuttle buses in the scenic area that stop when you wave. Remember to bring some snacks, as there aren't many restaurants in the scenic area.
