A Must-Stay Fairy Tale Hotel in Kaiping for Kids|Super Fun!

Bringing the little ones to play, this time staying at Chaikan Ancient Town Nest Family Hotel completely filled our trip with happiness! Located right in the heart of the ancient town scenic area, you can step outside and feel the century-old overseas Chinese hometown vibe. The best part is there are so many kid-friendly facilities that the children don’t even want to go back to the room~ 👶🎠

🏨 Hotel Environment:

The hotel is located at 173 Zhonghua East Road, Chikan Town, just a 5-minute walk to catch the fire show and enjoy various authentic local foods. If you drive, there’s a shuttle bus that takes you directly to the parking lot. The family room we booked was absolutely adorable—child safety rails, cartoon wall paintings, a mini tent, and even toothbrushes made just for kids! Not to mention the public area’s slide, LEGO wall, and ball pit. My two kids woke up every day demanding to go play on the water slide~

❤ Reasons to Recommend:

The bedding in the room is super comfortable; after a tiring day of playing, lying down instantly recharges you! The cleanliness is also quite thorough.

Breakfast is served next door at Meitang Hotel, with rice rolls and congee that have authentic Cantonese flavors. The kids even ate three bowls of double-skin milk pudding! The front desk lady also hand-drew a map for us, marking photo-worthy arcade spots and family restrooms in the ancient town.

📸 Nearby Activities at a Glance
• 3-minute walk to Situmeitang Former Residence, a great spot for photos with its blue brick Western-style building
• Be sure to take the kids to the fire show at dusk—lighting and water screens are super impressive
• Ride a rickshaw around the ancient town; the experienced driver even teaches kids to count in Cantonese
• The claypot rice old shop opposite the hotel serves crispy and fragrant preserved meat rice that’s amazing

💡 Tips:
1. It’s recommended to choose a room with a splash pool; it’s super refreshing in summer
2. The ancient town’s stone slab roads are a bit bumpy for strollers, so a baby carrier is more practical
3. Nearby restaurants close early, so you can pack some late-night snacks to eat back at the hotel

The biggest surprise on this Kaiping trip was discovering this family hotel, which combines the charm of Lingnan old houses with modern convenience. It’s a perfect choice that makes kids happy and parents worry-free! Next time, we want to try their starry sky family room~
