[Kanagawa Prefecture/Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine] A must-visit on New Year's Day

My wish came true and I was able to go to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine on New Year's Day 2023! It is probably the busiest New Year's shrine visit spot in Kamakura. I arrived at the shrine at about 1:30 p.m. I was able to pass through the second torii gate smoothly, but after that a police line was put up. I just made it in! It took about an hour before I had to worship. There were more people than I expected, but the police were guiding me well so I was able to worship with peace of mind. Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine does not usually distribute the goshuin of Shirahata Shrine, which is a shrine within the shrine grounds, so New Year's 🎍 is your chance. This was the first time I was able to receive one. They are not distributed individually, so they are distributed in sets of three.
