⛩️✨ Exploring Fujisawa, Kamakura & Hakone – A Perfect Escape from Tokyo ✨🌿

During my Tokyo trip, I set aside a few days to explore nearby gems — Fujisawa, Kamakura, and Hakone — and it was absolutely worth it! 🌸🚆

📍 Fujisawa & Enoshima
• 🌊 Took the Enoden line and enjoyed the seaside vibe.
• 🏝 Walked across to Enoshima Island — shrines, caves, and gorgeous ocean views.
• 🦑 Fresh seafood everywhere (Enoshima-don is a must-try!).

📍 Kamakura
• 🪷 Visited the Great Buddha (Kotoku-in) — so iconic and serene.
• 🍵 Explored Hasedera Temple, surrounded by flowers and overlooking the sea.
• 🛍 Komachi Street was packed with snacks, souvenirs, and matcha treats.

📍 Hakone
• 🚡 Took the ropeway with views of Mt. Fuji (when the skies were clear).
• 🚤 Sailed across Lake Ashi on the pirate ship cruise ⛵
• 💦 Relaxed in an onsen — the perfect way to end the day.

🍜 Foodie Highlights:
• Shirasu-don (baby sardine rice bowl) in Enoshima 🐟
• Matcha sweets in Kamakura 🍵
• Black eggs (Kuro-tamago) at Owakudani in Hakone 🥚

💡 Tips:
• A Hakone Free Pass or Enoshima-Kamakura Free Pass makes travel super convenient.
• Kamakura and Enoshima pair well as a day trip, Hakone deserves at least 1 night if possible.
• Bring comfy shoes — lots of walking but amazing scenery!

📸 Temples, sea views, mountains, and hot springs — this side trip had it all. A perfect balance of culture, nature, and relaxation just outside Tokyo. 🌸
