Autumn leaves of Mt. Yake

As you exit the Kama Tunnel, the first rugged mountain you see on your left is Mount Yakedake. It is actually an active volcano that is still active today, with smoke billowing from the summit. You can climb the mountain from Kamikochi on a day trip, but you should be careful as it is a volcano. This season, you can see beautiful autumn leaves along with Taisho Pond.
