Nishi Honganji Temple is a beautiful, clean, spacious temple with a long history and easy access, located near Kyoto Station.

Founded in 1591 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, this temple is a magnificent example of Japanese architecture from the Azuchi-Momoyama and early Edo periods.

This temple is one of 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kyoto.
