October is a popular time for many people to travel abroad, right? It's because it's the month when students are on school break or some companies are closing their budgets. While October may still be rainy in many countries, including Japan, some places may already be seeing the leaves changing color. And here, the leaves start changing as early as mid-October. Everyone knows this place, Kamikochi (Heaven on Earth) in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. :)
Kamikochi Park's leaves start changing color in mid-October, and they fall to welcome winter in early or mid-November. The timing varies from year to year, depending on the weather conditions. When we visited in mid-October of 2024, some of the leaves were already turning yellow, but many trees still had green leaves. If you visit around the last week of October, you should see the leaves turn orange-brown. Strolling through the park, the lush green air, the crystal-clear water, the contrasting Japanese Alps with the changing leaves, and if you're lucky enough to catch a clear day, this is truly heaven on earth. 🩵✨
No matter the season, Kamikochi is stunningly beautiful, captivating visitors. But let me whisper that the changing leaves are so beautiful you won't want to leave the park! 🫶🏻🧡✨
