A must-visit spot in Kanazawa [Omicho Market] 🛒🍣

Walking into Kanazawa's busiest market, [Omi-cho Market], you can immediately feel the pace of life in this ancient city of Hokuriku. Some people are like picking vegetables, but I am more like a gourmet, holding a market map in hand, tasting freshly cut fresh food, grilled seafood and authentic snacks.

The most not to be missed is the sweet fresh oysters peeled on the spot and the crab meat gunkan sushi that melts in your mouth, as well as the fragrant grilled squid skewers and scallops. While strolling around, I bought a box of Tateyama beef nigiri sushi, and each one melted in my mouth instantly. It is really a great experience to eat it freshly made!

There are many small shops in the market, including old Japanese fruit and vegetable stalls, century-old tofu shops, and local shops selling handmade sauces and miso pickles. One-stop search for souvenirs and local flavors is very suitable for arranging a local food tour in the morning or at noon.

📍Check-in location: Omi-cho Market
Address: 88 Aokusa-cho, Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture (near Kanazawa Castle and Kanazawa Station)
