When winter arrives, the town's earthen walls are covered with "komokake" (coverings), protecting them from snow and ice. Tourists visit to see this winter tradition in Kanazawa.

We also stopped by the Nagamachi Samurai Residence Rest House, which has a rest room and tourist information corner.

It's a popular tourist destination, home to Japanese confectionery shops and Kutani ware kilns.
