While walking through the remains of a former samurai residence...
I discovered a building that had been relocated from the Nakaya Pharmacy, a drug store.

Admission: ¥100
¥360 with the Maeda Tosa-no-kami Museum

On the first floor, the "Mise-no-ma" room features a medicine chest,
recreated to resemble the store's original appearance.
Old medicine bags are also on display.

On the second floor, the Kanazawa 100th Anniversary Exhibition displays
tools from the long-established businesses.

In the "Oe-no-ma" room, one step above the dirt floor,
there is a kettle on the hearth, with Kaga temari balls displayed above it.

Temari balls, crafted by mothers, are given to their brides as talismans to ward off evil spirits.

They feature beautiful geometric patterns and a variety of colors, and offer a glimpse into Kanazawa's traditional culture, including bridal curtains and Kaga mizuhiki used in engagement gifts.
