Gedi Ram | The Secret Sky City of Western Sichuan

Hidden in the secret realm of Western Sichuan lies a pure land closest to the sky—Gedi Ram Sky City✨ This is the most romantic spot along National Highway 318, where you can almost reach out and touch the clouds. Today, I’m sharing my healing trip to Kangding, a place you won’t want to leave once you arrive~

Opening Hours: Open year-round 09:00-20:00 (It’s best to come for photos between 3-6 PM, the lighting is stunning!)

▫️About this place:
Standing on the 4,200-meter-high plateau, you see endless snowy meadows. A white carousel, lighthouse, and swings scattered on the mountaintop create a fairy tale world seemingly forgotten by God. Remember to bring an oxygen tank; altitude sickness is no joke!

▫️Photo tips:
1️⃣ The carousel is a must-shoot! With the snow-capped mountains as your backdrop, every shot is a masterpiece.
2️⃣ The bench under the lighthouse is the best spot to watch the sunset.
3️⃣ For the swings, wear a bright-colored dress; the wind will blow your skirt like a blooming flower.

💡My little tips:
- The road up the mountain is rough; it’s recommended to drive a high-clearance off-road vehicle.
- After 4 PM, the light is softest, and you can capture the golden snow mountains.
- Don’t forget to bring a thick jacket! The temperature drops sharply after sunset.
- Bring some snacks; there are no shops on the mountain.

Here, there’s no city noise, only the sound of the wind, prayer flags, and your own heartbeat. When the sunset dyes the entire meadow golden, you suddenly understand what it means to say "life is worth living."
