Kaohsiung's new landmark - Neiwei Art Center

If you like art and culture, don’t miss this place when you visit Kaohsiung~
Neiwei Art Center is located on the west side of the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, between Maka Road and the Children's Art Museum, and is only a 3-minute walk from the C21A circular light rail station. Planned and designed by Liu Peisen Architects, the building's exterior echoes the undulating shape of Chaishan Mountain, and its strip-like lightweight building complex is designed to coexist with the natural landscape.

The overall design features a roaming and penetrating traffic flow, which includes a collection restoration display space, a parent-child cinema, cultural and creative products, a light meal space, and a theater. The park has boundaries but does not have a sense of being closed or hidden. The interior space also chooses a column-free and beam-free design to accommodate the tall trees in the park and allow in plenty of natural light. In the future, Neiwei Art Center will provide experiential and interactive art participation, allowing the public to more comfortably enjoy the museum’s more than 40 hectares of one-day art life circle that combines public art and natural ecology, and closely connect the Neiwei settlement with the community.
