London | The brilliant Japanese restaurant near Hyde Park

A friend recommended a Japanese restaurant not far from Hyde Park — I didn’t expect it to be so delicious! You walk down from the main floor and discover a hidden gem — the space is divided into private rooms, offering great privacy and a very cozy atmosphere.

There was a small board on the table displaying the daily specials, and the regular menu also had a great variety of options.

The sashimi platter featured incredibly fresh fish — the scallops and salmon were tender and smooth, and the wasabi was finely grated.

The curry omurice came with a crispy fried chicken cutlet — not too fatty, and paired perfectly with rice and curry. Super flavorful.

The shrimp tempura had a very crispy coating, and the shrimp were tender — the portion size was generous, just right for two people to share!

The sukiyaki for one was amazing too — just the right portion, with beef, tofu, and a sweet but not overpowering sauce. Perfect comfort food for winter!

💰 Price per person: £40–50
📍 Konjiki, 20 Kensington Church St, London W8 4EP
