The Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung is a must-visit attraction in Kaohsiung. It is located on the banks of the Love River. Pier-2 was formerly the Kaohsiung Port Warehouse. It was built in 1973. It used to store fish meal and sugar. With the transformation of the industry, it was forgotten and idle for a time. In 2000, due to the opportunity to find a place for fireworks, these old warehouses were revived and opened up new life, witnessing the prosperity, decline, resurgence and transformation of Kaohsiung Port. The warehouse is located at the No. 2 docking terminal of Kaohsiung Port. It is named "Pier-2" based on its connotation and has the meaning of inheritance.
