Kaohsiung | Wandering the City is the Most Relaxing Thing to Do

I still remember my trip around Taiwan
My friend and I took a minibus from Kenting to Kaohsiung
The driver looked like he was in his 70s
He drove like a maniac
The four of us in the back row
My friend and I linked arms
Exchanged glances
"I feel sick"
"Hold on"

Next to us was a couple
The guy held the girl tightly in his arms
And shouted at the driver
"Sir, did you drive for a gang when you were young?"

The driver had a cigarette in his mouth
"Young man, I'm driving fast so you can get to Kaohsiung sooner"

Anyway, we arrived in Kaohsiung safely
I didn't throw up
I was hungry from the bumpy ride
Luckily, there was a hot pot restaurant like Xiabu Xiabu downstairs, so I had a nice hot pot meal, recharged, and started my afternoon city walk

✅Visit the British Consulate at Takao, enjoy the combination of history and nature, have a cup of milk tea, and walk through the red house, as if traveling through time and space

✅Take a ferry from Xiziwan to Cijin Island, enjoy a walk by the sea, and try local snacks such as seafood and sausage wrapped in glutinous rice

✅Take the MRT back to the city and visit the creative art space, Pier-2 Art Center. Visit the cultural and creative stores and take photos with the giant sculptures

✅Walk to Dagang Bridge and experience the unique charm of the longest horizontal rotating bridge in Asia

✅Enjoy a feast at Liuhe Night Market in the evening and buy some souvenirs
