Go up to the Kaohsiung Lighthouse and see the boundary between the city and the sea

#Kaohsiung #KaohsiungLighthouse After leaving Cijin Old Street, I followed the signs all the way to Kaohsiung Lighthouse. This short hillside road is not far. Along the way, you can hear the sound of the wind and birds singing, as well as the faint sound of waves coming from the other side of the sea. When you arrive at the lighthouse, the scenery in front of you makes you stop and take a deep breath.

The Kaohsiung Lighthouse stands quietly on the hill, with white walls and a black roof. Its shape is simple yet particularly charming. It doesn’t have the majestic solitary lights on the east coast, but because it’s located at a high point, you can get a panoramic view of the entire Kaohsiung Harbor. Standing on the platform and looking into the distance, the cargo ship slowly sails into the port, and the vastness of the sea and sky connecting together makes people feel open-minded.

The lighthouse itself is not open to the public, but the small white house and viewing area next to it are enough to make people stop for a long time. The sea breeze is a bit strong, but not biting, and it feels refreshing and comfortable. Many people choose to take photos and rest here, and there are also couples who come here to enjoy the scenery together. They don’t talk loudly, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and comfortable.

What impressed me most was standing next to the lighthouse and watching the sunset. The sun set slowly, the clouds in the sky were dyed golden orange, and the port gradually became quiet under the light. At that moment, I suddenly understood why this lighthouse was recommended by so many people - not because it is particularly gorgeous, but because it just provides an angle that allows you to see the distance between the city and the sea in the purest way.

Before leaving, I looked back at the lighthouse. It stands quietly there, guarding the wind, guarding the sea, and guarding everyone like me who wants to temporarily leave the hustle and bustle and breathe a breath of free air.
