If you travel to Kaohsiung, you must spend half a day to visit Cijin Island. Cijin, formerly known as "Qihou", is a long and narrow island. Most tourists can take a ferry from Gushan Pier to Cijin, and the journey only takes 5 minutes. The fort located on Cijin Island in Kaohsiung is located at a high point. Not only can you enjoy the scenery of Cijin and overlook Cijin Beach, it is also a good place to watch the sunset. We were very lucky to have a nice sunset that day.
