Cijin Island

Cijin Island is a small, tranquil island located in Kaohsiung. It's easily accessible via a short ferry ride. Upon arrival, it's highly recommended to rent an electric bicycle for convenient and quick travel around the island to visit its key attractions (though the rental fee might be slightly high, it's worth it—walking is not advised). The island features various highlights, including an old temple, the unique black sand beach, and several attractions along the coastline, mostly consisting of various structures spanning several kilometers. You can also explore a tunnel adorned with lights and hike up to the old lighthouse for a leisurely stroll. It's a relaxing destination to enjoy.
If you're visiting Kaohsiung and have some time, Cijin Island is definitely a chill spot worth checking out.
