🎨 Brio Hotel — Artsy Chic in Kaohsiung

Background
Brio Hotel (比歐緻居) is a boutique-design hotel in the Xinxing (Sinsing) District of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, located at No. 14-26, Zhongshan 1st Road. It’s steps away from Central Park MRT Station (Red Line), putting you very close to transit, green space, and city energy. The hotel has about 59 rooms, each with a strong focus on artistic touches and bold design.

Why It’s Worth Staying / Visiting
• The design & atmosphere: each room is treated like a work of art, with creative wall art, sculptures, mosaic pieces, and unusual décor flourishes — pastel-blue/green stingray motifs, ceramic works, large wall paintings, etc. If you care about aesthetics, this makes staying there a visual treat.
• Location & accessibility: right near Central Park, close to MRT, within walking distance to shopping, food, Liuhe Night Market, Pier-2 Art Center and lots of Kaohsiung highlights. Also, the free self-parking and good WiFi help add convenience.
• Amenities & value: The hotel runs a “The Lookout Bistro & Bar”, a snack bar, terrace/lounge, meeting/banquet facilities, 24-hour front desk, in-room perks like mini-fridge, tea/coffee, etc. The reviews are strong — cleanliness, comfort, design get high marks.

My Impression
Brio feels like staying in a small gallery more than a purely functional hotel. It’s the kind of place you wake up in and notice little design details — the shape of the lamp, art on walls, colour contrasts. I especially liked how the hotel isn’t trying for sterile minimalism but for character — something playful yet comfortable. Views from some rooms of the city, sunsets over Central Park, and being close to cafés and street food make it possible to alternate rest and exploration easily. It’s a hotel that adds texture to your trip, not just a place to sleep.
