On a small hill outside the city of Fethiye, Türkiye, there are several famous hanging coffins called Lycian hanging coffins. It is a famous local archaeological site. Although the hanging coffins belong to the Lycians, it is obvious that the architectural style is deeply influenced by Greek and Persian architectural styles. The most famous of these, according to the inscription, was built in 350 BC and was dedicated to Amyntas, the son of Hermagus.
Follow the Lycian Way and visit the ancient sites one by one. Compared with the monotonous sunshine and beaches, the rolling wheel of history is always more exciting.
