Zhengzhou Art Palace is located at the intersection of the middle section of Jianshe Road and Baihua Road, covering an area of 9,127.2 square meters, a square area of 2,390 square meters, a front hall area of 1,077.68 square meters, an auditorium area of 1,055.4 square meters, and a total renovation area of 1,077.07 square meters. It has two theaters, a large theater with 1,338 seats and a small theater with 186 seats.
The Palace of Fine Arts serves as a venue for singing and dancing, opera, films, conferences, and concerts, and is capable of hosting leading national and international performance groups. Flanking the theater are various exhibition halls, a press conference room, and a small stereo film theater. The concert hall's functions have fully met the high standards required by national regulations, rivaling those of the National Opera House.
The Art Palace's exterior is clad in flamed stone, Maogu stone, and green-gray invisible glass walls, complemented by white marble treads and railings. The unique, realistic piano-shaped box office sculpture on the east side of the plaza and the green lawn surrounding the building complement the overall architecture, giving the Palace a palace-like atmosphere and a rhythmic beauty. The front lobby features a 12-meter-wide water curtain, a three-tiered, intersecting waterfall. The first and second floors on the east side house exhibition halls, a quasi-art gallery. A floating staircase leads directly to the second-floor exhibition hall, cinema, and café. The renovated stage is a comprehensive, multifunctional, and adaptable platform with a movable platform. Comprising six elevating stages and two 2-meter by 16-meter transportable platforms, it fills another gap in our province. Combined with a newly renovated elevating orchestra pit capable of accommodating a 100-person orchestra, the Zhengzhou Art Palace is a fully equipped venue for ballet, song and dance, opera, and symphony orchestras.
The temperate monsoon climate; Zhengzhou Art Palace has a realistic piano-shaped sculptural box office, a simple and bright front hall, a high-standard art gallery, an extraordinary audience hall, and a liftable and multi-transformable movable stage, all of which present the momentum of a modern theater and are suitable for travel in all seasons.
