Karuizawa-cho is a really relaxing town, and every time I go, I want to enjoy a slow brunch. This time I went to Bakery & Restaurant Sawamura Kyu Karuizawa for lunch and a cup of coffee, which I don't miss every time. Cloudy and rainy days did not diminish the warmth of the restaurant, sitting in the wooden decorated Cafe looking out the window of the green trees is a comfortable enjoyment.

Signature dishes:
- Polygonum Pork Fillet: Homemade baked bread with smooth and tender pork fillet, very juicy, not too greasy, crispy and fragrant.
- Calzone pizza: The crust is slightly browned and fragrant, the ingredients are plentiful, the cheese and tomato sauce blend just enough flavor, the bite is warm and super filling.
- The shop's daily ready-to-bake bread: many kinds, I like the yeast aroma of their local products, each piece of bread is super fresh and flour flavor.

Price:
- Bread from $300 yen a piece, main meal within about $1,000 yen, quite good value for money, enough portions for sharing

- Staff not only smile friendly, even on rainy days can make people feel warm hospitality
- The dining process was very pleasant, the food production was stable, there was no feeling of stepping on thunder
- Finally, be sure to take a few more pieces of bread back to the hotel, great for breakfast with a cup of coffee!

Tips:
Bakery & Restaurant Sawamura is very popular in Karuizawa-cho, and it is recommended to go early/avoid the noon hour, especially on weekends when the queues are heavy. If you have a self-drive, there is a small parking lot next door very convenient. In addition, the interior atmosphere of the restaurant is comfortable, especially romantic to go on a cloudy and rainy day.
