Huian Kawadoya, a century-old soba noodle shop in Kyoto

Visit the century-old soba noodle shop "Huian Kawamiya" in Kyoto. This old shop located in Kawaramachi has a history of 300 years. It was also interviewed on an NHK program, introducing mackerel dishes that still retain hundreds of years of cooking methods. It looks and tastes very delicious.

Huian Riverside House was also famous because of the frequent visits of Apple founder Steve Jobs. Even though the prices are not cheap, it is still very popular and it is best to make a reservation in advance.

The restaurant itself is an old wooden house with a simple texture and antique charm. After passing through the beautiful garden, we arrived at the quiet dining area. The environment was quite comfortable. We ordered the overnight dried mackerel, fried shrimp tempura soba cold noodles, etc. The noodles were chewy and delicious, with a strong tea aroma. The overall performance was good.
