📍 Thamel Itinerary: 3 Days in the Heart of Kathmandu

📅 Itinerary
Day 1:

Started with a cozy brunch at 4Stories, great coffee and vibes.
Visited the Royal Palace Museum (a must for history lovers).
Took a stroll around New Road, Dharahara, and Basantapur.
Ended the day with drinks at Blackbird Bar, my absolute favorite bar in the Thamel area. Great music, laid-back crowd, and top-tier cocktails.
Day 2:

Morning visit to the peaceful Garden of Dreams.
Breakfast nearby, then popped into the charming library right next door.
Walked over to the Museum of Nepali Art (MoNA),
small but beautifully curated.
Day 3:

Took it slow and chilled at the hotel for most of the day.
Late lunch at Smashing Burgers (totally lives up to the name!).
Then started the party night: back to Blackbird for pre-drinks, followed by live music at Purple Haze Rock Bar, and ended the night dancing at Lord of the Drinks.
🏨 Accommodation
Stayed in a boutique hotel in Thamel, walkable to everywhere I needed, yet peaceful enough to rest well. (You can find plenty of options to suit any budget.)

🍴 Food Recommendations

4Stories – Perfect brunch spot
Smashing Burgers – For juicy burgers and chill vibes
Blackbird Bar – Great for cocktails and intimate conversations
Street momo stalls & Newari eateries – Don’t miss the local flavors!

📌 Tips

Walk as much as possible, that’s the best way to experience Thamel area.
Try a Newari Khaja Set at least once (especially in Patan if you can make the trip!).
Nightlife is buzzing, but keep your valuables close and always get a local SIM with data.
Want peace in the chaos? Pop into Garden of Dreams for a little sanctuary.
