The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden

While the arboretum is beautiful all day, timing a visit for the late afternoon (4 PM onwards) is highly recommended. As the sun begins its descent, the warm, golden light hitting the pumpkin village and the colorful mums is absolutely magical. The shadows lengthen, adding depth and drama to the scenes, and the often-harsh midday light is replaced by a soft, flattering glow. This is the perfect time for photography and really enhances the festive atmosphere. Plus, the crowds often thin out slightly as dinner time approaches, making the experience more peaceful.
