Sawara Suigo is a popular scenic spot in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture. Its riverbanks, lined with weeping willows and lined with quaint, dozoku-zukuri buildings, attract numerous visitors year-round.
❤️Rich in Historical Significance
Sawara Suigo, along with Kawagoe City in Saitama Prefecture and Tochigi City in Tochigi Prefecture, is known as one of the three great Edo regions of Kanto. In 1996, it was designated an Important Preservation Area for Groups of Traditional Buildings. The Onogawa River, a tributary of the Tone River, winds its way through the town center.
❤️Spectacular Natural Beauty
The winding river and the reflections of weeping willows on its water create a captivating natural scene, perfect for photo opportunities and framing.
👍🏻The area also boasts numerous unique shops offering a variety of dining and shopping opportunities.
