Taiwan's version of Venice fishing village 🌈

Keelung Zhengbin Fishing Port, also known as Keelung Fishing Port, is located in the south of Heping Island. It is an old fishing port with a long history. It was created by the Japanese in 1934 during the Japanese colonial period. At that time, it was the largest port in Taiwan and the first modern port in northern Taiwan🚢

It was once a prosperous fishing port, but with the increasing development of the fishing industry and the expansion of the tonnage of fishing boats, the focus of the fishing industry shifted to Badouzi Fishing Port in the later period, and Zhengbin Fishing Port gradually declined.

In 2017, the Keelung City Government transformed the fishing port into a tourist pier mainly for leisure and nostalgia, and launched the "Zhengbin Fishing Port Nostalgic Pier Color Plan", painting more than a dozen houses next to the fishing village in different colors🎨

The colorful fishing village🌈 has made the quiet fishing village a must-visit check-in point in Keelung.
