Baimei Weng Community Tour: Explore Keelung's Cultural Heritage

The Baimei Weng Community in Keelung City has transformed from a fishing port a century ago into a charming village today. Thanks to the city-designated cultural heritage site, Baimei Weng Fort, the community has been actively developing tourism in recent years.

Located on the highlands of the western shore of Keelung Harbor, Baimei Weng Fort forms a strategic defense point together with Heping Island on the eastern shore, guarding the entrance to Keelung Harbor. The fort area features a long, linear layout facing the sea. While the cannons are no longer present, visitors can still see the remains of four gun emplacements and parapet walls. On the right side, the observation deck can be accessed via stone steps next to the pavilion, offering a stunning view of the sea and sky.

The Baimei Weng Community boasts an advantageous location with its mountain-facing and sea-facing environment. The village is built along the slopes, blending harmoniously with the terrain. The Baimei Weng Community Development Association also highlights the "Top Ten Taibai Scenic Spots," inviting visitors to embark on a journey to Baimei Weng Community to help revitalize the local economy.
