Kenting is located at the southernmost tip of Taiwan and is known as the end of the world of Taiwan. Kenting in the daytime has blue sky, white clouds and sandy beaches, and the scenery is breathtaking and fascinating. At night, Kenting transforms into a food paradise that never sleeps, with the bustling night market occupied by vendors and tourists.
I have been wanting to go to Kenting for the past few years, and finally I found the time to go there. After getting off the plane, we took a bus to the Lujiao Hotel near Kenting Main Street, a clean and quiet B&B with a terrace. Rent an electric car as soon as you arrive. Many attractions in Kenting have sparse bus services or are difficult to reach, so you must rent a car to enjoy yourself. Electric cars are economical and do not require license plates. Since they are not fast, they are safe as long as you drive carefully.
Must-see attractions:
1. Eluanbi Park is located at the southernmost tip of Taiwan. It consists of the Eluanbi Lighthouse and the Coral Reef Park and is one of the eight scenic spots in Taiwan. The Eluanbi Lighthouse is the symbol of the park. The tower is all white and is known as the light of East Asia. The Coral Reef Park has unique geographical landscape and rich natural plants. Every September, a group of red-tailed shrikes pass through the area, creating a spectacular scene that is worth watching!
2. Kenting Street Night Market is a famous snack street in Taiwan, known as the "Ximending of Southern Taiwan". It is full of tropical marine style. The street is very lively every night. It is a popular destination for everyone who comes to Kenting for tourism, with snacks and souvenirs everywhere.
3. The filming location of "Cape No. 7" became famous because of the movie. The "Ajia's House" room retains all the scenes from the movie to welcome fans who come to visit. Here you can also buy hot-stamped wooden postcards and drop them into the green mailbox next to it to re-enact the movie scenes.
4. Kenting Beach is located behind Kenting Street. The sea here is calm and waveless. Wanlitong, which became famous for the NT$500 million movie "Cape No. 7", is a small fishing village on the west side of Hengchun. The sea water is crystal clear and there are many coral reefs. It has always been a paradise for divers.
