When you travel to Kinmen, you will definitely pass by a lot of ancient settlements. What's more special is that you can stay in one of them. In addition to many large settlements such as Shuitou, Beishan, and Shanhou, this time we chose a small path settlement that most tourists are not familiar with, so that you can feel the quiet atmosphere day and night.
The homestay we chose this time is "Eryu". It used to be a bathhouse. After being renovated by the National Park, it regained its ancient charm. The owner of the homestay is very hospitable. Although we couldn't meet each other in time, she still cared about us during our stay.
Eryu is a three-sided courtyard with two rooms on the left and right. Basically, four people can rent a house, but there was no other group when we checked in, so two people could enjoy the comfort of renting a house. In the middle is the social hall, where there are many picture books to read. The atrium is small and cute. Listening to the rain on rainy nights and the chirping of insects on starry nights are the reasons why I like this place very much. The room is spacious, with a bed on one side and a desk on the other. There are also many picture books. The bathroom is a modern-style separate bathroom, which is very clean and comfortable. For those who like tranquility, I highly recommend staying in the trail settlement for a few nights. You can forget the hustle and bustle of the city and fall in love with this lovely place, Kinmen.
