Kellie's Castle (sometimes also called Kellie's Folly) is a castle located in Batu Gajah, Kinta District, Perak, Malaysia. The unfinished, ruined mansion was built by the Scottish planter William Kellie-Smith. According to differing accounts, it was either a gift for his wife or a home for his son. Kellie's Castle is situated beside the Raya River (Sungai Raya), which is a small creek to the Kinta River.
Built by a Scottish businessman for his wife, however it turned into a never accomplished project due to the sudden demise of the owner. Built on love, destroyed in the war, the story of an inspired young Scottishman, chasing dreams and love in Malaysia. How to get there: Take flight from Singapore or Kuala lumpur to Ipoh, or take bus from Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.The take Grab or charter private transport to Kellie’s Castle.
Kellie's Castle entrance tickets can be purchased at the castle entrance. The opening hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm daily. For foreign tourists, the entrance fee is RM10 for adults and RM8 for children, according to Malaysia Tourism. For Malaysians, the fee is RM5 for adults and RM3 for children.
