[Shigeru Mizuki's Yokai: Night Parade of One Hundred Demons Exhibition]
~This is how ghosts were born~
Shigeru Mizuki, the manga artist who created many yokai works, including his masterpiece "GeGeGe no Kitaro," and established yokai culture, has long been a driving force behind the yokai boom.
This exhibition was planned to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth in 2022.
Among the many Shigeru Mizuki exhibitions held to date, this is the first to focus on the specific techniques used to create yokai paintings. Befitting the name "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons," this exhibition will showcase approximately 100 of Shigeru Mizuki's original yokai paintings. It also features books and related materials owned and referenced by Shigeru Mizuki, as well as the genealogy and writings of yokai intellectuals.
