It was a trading and transportation point for Kyushu Island. Therefore, it was influenced by the West. Most of the buildings are European-style architecture. The buildings are beautiful and there are many photo spots. The atmosphere by the port is very good. It is not far to travel. You can take a train to visit Fukuoka for a day trip.

🚃 Traveling from Fukuoka Take the train from Hakata Station to Kokura Station and then transfer to the JR Kagoshima Line and get off at Mojiko Station.
