Mojiko, a lovely little port town @ Fukuoka

#VisitFukuoka

This Summer in Fukuoka, we'll take you to a small but lovely Meiji-Taisho-era port town that still retains its old European buildings, known as Mojiko Retro.

I highly recommend strolling through the retro buildings, enjoying the sea view, and experiencing the port town's lifestyle. It's a peaceful experience, and breathing in the sea air is a truly enjoyable and relaxing experience.

If you visit in the evening or at night, the old buildings and the Blue Wing Bridge are illuminated, creating a chic atmosphere. There are plenty of photo opportunities (though we didn't stay until dark).

Also, if you visit during the summer or rainy season like we did, the view might not be as beautiful, as it was quite cloudy on the day we went. 🥲
Don't forget to bring an umbrella in case it rains.

Easy Access
If you're coming from Fukuoka (Hakata), take the JR Main Line/connect to Mojiko Station. It's very convenient.
