Fukuoka

As the Japanese cherry blossom prediction website is updated more frequently, the mood for cherry blossom viewing is becoming more and more exciting.
Although Kyushu's cherry blossoms are not as well-known as those in Tokyo, Kyoto or even Izu, they are unique in their small crowds and beautiful scenery. Whether it is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot or a secret place hidden in the mountains, it is full of surprises.
🌸 According to the latest official forecast released on February 6, the best viewing period for cherry blossoms in major cities in Kyushu is:
🔹 Fukuoka: March 27-April 3
🔹 Oita: March 31-April 8
🔹 Nagasaki: March 28-April 4
🔹 Saga: March 31-April 7
🔹 Kumamoto: March 29-April 5
🔹 Miyazaki: March 29-April 5
🔹 Kagoshima: March 29-April 5
The following are the 8 must-visit cherry blossom viewing spots in Kyushu in spring:
🌸 Kusaba River, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture
This is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in Fukuoka City. The approximately 1.5-kilometer-long riverside trail is lined with Somei Yoshino cherry trees, forming a pink tunnel. The cherry blossoms are densely packed, and the night cherry blossoms are even more dreamy and beautiful.
🌸 Kokura Castle, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture
Kokura Castle stands in Katsuyama Park, surrounded by 300 cherry trees. The photos taken with the castle tower and cherry blossoms in the background are absolutely stunning! After sunset, the lights come on, and the Sakura Castle under the lights looks like a dream, so beautiful that it is breathtaking.
🌸 Uranosaki Station, Imari City, Saga Prefecture
The Matsuura Railway starts from Arita Station in Saga Prefecture and ends at Sasebo in Nagasaki Prefecture. The train whizzed past, creating a grand "cherry blossom snow", as if the scene from the anime had been shone into reality, which was intoxicating.
