The Old Mitsui Club in Mojiko, Kitakyushu, is a guest house built by the Mitsui zaibatsu in 1921 and is a Western-style building designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. The classical two-story wooden building is also famous for being the place where Einstein and his wife stayed, and the elegant space retains the atmosphere of the time. 🕰️✨
When you actually visit, the interior of the building, lined with stained glass and antique furniture, is like a world of Taisho-era romance.
