"Mojiko Retro" in Kitakyushu City is a historic port town where architecture from the Meiji and Taisho eras remains. With red brick buildings, the old station building, and the old Mitsui Club, the scenery makes you feel like you've traveled back in time📷✨. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the seaside promenade while feeling the sea breeze, and there are plenty of cafes and general stores☕🛍️
When I actually visited, the retro buildings and the seascape matched perfectly, and I couldn't stop taking photos! It is lit up at night, creating a fantastic atmosphere🌃
It is accessible from JR Mojiko Station. It takes about an hour and a half by train from Hakata Station🚃
The best time to visit is in the evening or at night! You can enjoy both the retro townscape during the day and the night illuminations. You can also take the sightseeing trolley "Shiokazego" and tour the port town ◎🚋
