Fukuoka Suburbs: 'Mojiko Retro,' a collection of charming European-style buildings

Japan Travel Diary 41: Fukuoka Edition

📍Mojiko

Located about 45 minutes by train from Fukuoka, Mojiko Retro is a tourist destination filled with retro European-style buildings✨.

You can also take a 5-minute ferry ride to Shimonoseki from here. Surrounded by exotic architecture and 🌊 the sea, the area is incredibly peaceful and picturesque.

This is a recommended spot for those who love taking photos.

You can also try the local specialty, Yaki Curry—curry topped with cheese and baked to perfection🧀.

When I visited, I saw people peacefully sitting on benches reading books or chatting, which made the scenery feel so relaxing☺️.

If you're planning to visit Shimonoseki or looking for an off-the-beaten-path day trip, this is a great choice😌.
