[Hokkaido] The mysterious lake born from Lake Mashu, "Kaminoko Pond"

This time, we will introduce the spectacular lake "Kaminoko Pond" in Hokkaido.

Kaminoko Pond is a lake where groundwater from Lake Mashu springs up.
In Ainu language, Lake Mashu is called "Kamuito, or Lake of the Gods," and Kaminoko Pond is called Kaminoko Pond because it is its child.
The water temperature is a low 8°C all year round, and fallen trees remain without rotting, making it a very beautiful lake.
Although it is not easy to access, there is a large parking lot and toilets, so it is definitely a tourist spot.
When we arrived, a beautiful lake with a postcard-like blue color was waiting for us!

It is also close to Lake Mashu, which is the source (?) of Kaminoko Pond, so it is recommended to visit both.
Lake Mashu is often so foggy that it is called "Misty Lake Mashu," so be careful if you are driving there!

Kaminoko: 〒099-4526, Kiyosato-cho, Shari-gun, Hokkaido (search for "Kaminoko Pond Parking Lot" on the map to find the location)
