[Kobe Nankinmachi] Want to eat, but don't want to wait in line? Then the pork buns at "Cho Jia Baozikan" are for you... actually.

Located in Nankinmachi Square, right in the middle of Kobe's Chinatown (Chinatown), the pork bun specialty store "Roshoki" is so popular that no tourist visiting Nankinmachi doesn't stop by. When you approach the store's entrance, there isn't much of a line, so you might think, "Oh, is it open now? Lucky me!", but on the other side of the road on the side of the square, there is a long, winding line like a giant snake. It's so long that you can't even tell where the end of the line is. In times like these, there is a guide man in the middle of the crowd who is handling the line like a snake charmer, so it's a good idea to check where the end of the line is.
And this man will tell you some good advice.
"You can buy Lao Xiang Ji's pork buns in this line, but if you really want to buy them 'at Lao Xiang Ji' then the end of the line is over there, this line and that line are the same."

Yes, this is the place I was directed to, "Cao Jia Baozi Shop." It's a shop on the other side of the square. "This line" is much shorter than that line. Yes, I chose the shorter line without hesitation. It's the same pork buns, I'm hungry, it's the same pork buns, I don't want to get sunburned, it's the same pork buns...

To be honest, I was a little skeptical and worried that it would be "Lao Xiang Ji-style," but it was really Lao Xiang Ji's pork buns. The small, steamed pork buns, piping hot, with chewy skin and rich, juicy filling, are definitely Lao Xiang Ji's pork buns!

Normally, Chou Jia Baozikan is famous for its "Shiitake Pork Buns" which are highly acclaimed, but on days when Lao Xiang Ji is closed or when it is expected to be crowded, they only sell Lao Xiang Ji's pork buns. Although the store names are completely different, they are sister stores.

If you don't have time to wait in such a long line but still want to eat something delicious, then Chou Jia Baozikan is the place to go.

(Although there is quite a long line, it is.)
