From Kobe Port Tower, you can take a train to Mt. Maya. From Kobe Port Tower Station, take the train bound for Sannomiya and get off at Kobe Station. Then, take the bus bound for Mt. Maya and get off at Mayayama Park Station.

Mt. Maya in Kobe once defeated Hakodate in Hokkaido and was crowned as one of the three major night view spots in Japan! Mount Maya is a 702-meter-high mountain located in the center of the Rokko Mountains in the Nada district of Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
The name Mount Maya comes from the statue of Lady Maya, the mother of Sakyamuni, which was once placed on the top of the mountain. It takes about an hour from Osaka to reach the entrance of Mount Maya, and then take the mountain and aerial cable cars directly to Maya Kikuseidai, where you can enjoy the vast scenery of Kobe Bay and Osaka city!

Climbing up to the observation deck, you can see the Ferris wheel of Kobe Port, Kobe Tower, the entire open Kobe Bay and the night view of Osaka in the distance. It is listed as one of the new three major night views in Japan along with the night view of Mt. Inasa in Nagasaki and the night view of Mt. Moiwa in Hokkaido.
