Japan is the perfect summer destination with its warm weather and beautiful sunny days. Most people choose to visit the well known mega cities and the hustle and bustle, but there are many peaceful and quiet places to visit too!
The Great Hanshin Earthquake occurred on the 17th January 1995 with a magnitude of 7.2, killing more than 6000 people and leaving 45,000 homeless. Today there is a 60 metre stretch of the Meriken wharf quay that has been preserved to show visitors the immense damage that the earthquake caused.
