Hotel La Suite Kobe Harborland Staycation

Check-in is around 6 PM. At the 1st floor check-in desk, you set your breakfast time for the next day and receive a detailed explanation about the hotel's facilities. Afterward, a staff member escorts you to your room. This is the second-largest room among the 400 hotels I've stayed at in Japan.

As usual, I start by taking photos. Then, I explore the room thoroughly, opening all the doors and drawers. The room is a massive open-plan space combining a living room and bedroom, with a study and a Japanese-style relaxation area equivalent to six tatami mats.

Being a corner room, the terrace is L-shaped, offering panoramic views of Port Tower, Meriken Park, Mosaic, and the sea. Just breathing in this space feels healing. I spend an hour lying on the bed, simply breathing.

For dinner, I head out briefly to the Mosaic restaurant area. On the way back, I stop by an Aeon supermarket to buy a half-bottle of champagne and pick up some snacks from a convenience store to pair with it. I take a refreshing bath while enjoying the night view of Port Tower.

I indulge in a bubble bath with a glass of champagne. Next is terrace time. I set up a self-styled dining experience that rivals a restaurant, using candle lights from the room and moving the table closer to the tower view.

With chilled champagne, I continue my serenade under the summer night sky. The red Port Tower changes into a blue Port Tower as time passes, showcasing a laser show that delights my eyes.

The room is equipped with a powerful air conditioner, ensuring optimal coolness. Kobe is such a sophisticated city that there are no bugs. 🤣 Despite the enchanting night, I eventually fall asleep. I wake up at 5 AM but fail my sunrise mission.

I go back to sleep. Since breakfast is scheduled for 8 AM, I wake up around 7:30 to prepare for the gourmet experience. Breakfast here is served as room service. I enjoy freshly baked Kobe bread and fried eggs (目玉焼き) made from eggs laid by chickens raised on Mount Rokko.

I have an afternoon tea reservation at 1 PM, so after checking out at 10 AM, I leave my luggage at the hotel and take a quick trip to Osaka for a first round of afternoon tea via the rapid train. This hotel serves as the venue for my second round of afternoon tea. That concludes my stay review. Thank you.
