"Kobe Onsen Creative Dining Ao," a restaurant located within Suzuran no Yu in Kita Ward, Kobe, is a hidden gem where you can enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine made with seasonal ingredients after a soothing soak in the hot springs. Easily accessible via a free shuttle bus from Sannomiya.

Under the theme of "A meal that satisfies both body and mind after a bath," the restaurant serves creative Japanese cuisine utilizing local ingredients and seasonal flavors. Despite being located on a hot spring facility, the quality of the cuisine is on par with that of a specialty restaurant. In addition to set meals and set menus, a la carte dishes and local sake are also available, making for a satisfying dining experience at any time of the day.

All three kinds of fresh sashimi were fresh, with the sea bream in particular boasting a refined sweetness. The shrimp tempura had a light batter and a superbly plump texture. The chawanmushi had a fragrant dashi broth and a perfect balance of ingredients. The side dishes and side dishes were seasonal, meticulously crafted in both flavor and color.
