🙏 Wat Phra That Lampang Luang

Lampang is considered one of the oldest and most valuable temples in Northern Thailand. Legend has it that this chedi contains a hair relic of the Buddha, and is the birth year chedi for those born in the Year of the Ox.

The temple's signature feature is the Phra That Lampang Luang chedi, a true Lanna style structure constructed of brick and covered with gold leaf. The towering chedi stands tall in the center of the temple, surrounded by a beautifully preserved ancient viharn.

There are also Wihan Luang and Wihan Nam Taem, both adorned with ancient murals depicting Jataka tales and the life of the Buddha.
