Wat Phra That Lampang Luang

1. The City's Twin Stupa and the Stupa for the Year of the Ox

The Phra That Lampang Luang Stupa is a bell-shaped stupa in the Bagan-Lanna style, enshrining the Buddha's relics. It is the stupa for those born in the Year of the Ox. If you were born in the Year of the Ox, paying homage here will bring great auspiciousness. The stupa is elegantly covered in gold leaf (gilded, carved copper) around its body.

2. Unseen Thailand: The Upside-Down Stupa's Shadow
This is a highlight that amazes tourists everywhere! The "Upside-Down Stupa's Shadow" phenomenon is caused by light refraction through small holes in the wall and falling into the Buddha Vihara (or Buddha Foot Arch), creating a stunning upside-down shadow of the stupa.

Note: Access to the Upside-Down Stupa is restricted, especially the main Buddha Vihara, which is marked with a sign stating "No Women Allowed" for good luck. However, other areas within the temple allow viewing of the stupa's shadow.
