Koh Nang Yuan, 3 beaches, Surat Thani Province

“Koh Nang Yuan” is only about 480 meters from Koh Tao. It is a small island of 3 islands connected by a sandbar that can be walked to, creating a parted sea and 3 beaches.

Because Koh Nang Yuan is a private island, it is the property of the Treasury Department, Ministry of Finance. It is currently rented and operated by Nang Yuan Island Dive Resort, so there is a fee to enter the island. The island is open only from 09.00-16.00. However, there are also accommodations on Koh Nang Yuan.

Getting to Koh Nang Yuan
If you start from Koh Samui or a pier in Surat Thani, you will have to take a ferry to Koh Tao first. The ferry fare from Koh Samui to Koh Tao is 600 baht per trip and takes 2 hours. The ferry fare from the pier in Surat Thani to Koh Tao is 700 baht per trip and takes 4 hours. When you arrive at Koh Tao at Mae Haad Pier, look for a long-tailed fisherman’s boat that will be parked at Mae Haad Beach. You can take a boat to Koh Nang Yuan, with a round trip fare of 400 baht.
