Big Buddha Temple, Samui

Located on the north side of Koh Samui near Bo Phut Beach, the temple is located on a small island called Koh Fan.
The highlight of this temple is the large golden yellow Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture. This statue was built in 1972. It is 5 wa 9 inches wide and 6 wa high. It is the largest Buddha statue in the South and is highly revered by Buddhists on Koh Samui. It also attracts a lot of attention from both Thai and foreign tourists.
